We are still faced to the increasing demands from our customers for bigger and bigger passenger carrying ballon sets. Therefore we are lucky to introduce you (again!) the biggest Kubicek balloon. New model BB142P with the volume of 14.200 m3 (500.000 cuft) is able to carry 28-32 of your passengers.
Best to fit them into the basket K100DTT with 8 separate passenger compartments + 1 for pilot. With its length of 6.1 m can carry comfotable 28 passengers + pilot + steward!

Three balloons within 4 autumn weeks heading to Japan
Kubicek Balloons has an active sales representation in Japan, company BEE CO. Ltd. under the leadership of Mr. Tom Abe Tsutomu with kind and diligent Mrs. Yukiko Shigematsu working in SAGA office.

New shapes from Kubicek
We have produced another two special shapes. The Foamy Gnome is already flying in the U.K., operated by Andrew Holly, Exclusive Ballooning. Congratulations to Exclusive Ballooning on ordering their 50th balloon. Ask them why Kubicek was the right choice?

Golf in Kořenec
Recently we had a successful outdoor event. The main part took place on golf-course in Kořenec near Boskovice, where the instructors tried to show us the beauty of golf in the shortest possible time. Though complete beginners we got a chance to go through first three holes and feel the position of Tiger Woods for several minutes. After the evening party we could also to look around the country from the horseback and last but not least to visit the brewery in Černá hora nearby.

3rd Mondorfiade
Carlo Arendt from Luxembourg organised already 3rd Mondorfiade, nice event with good atmosphere and a small competition as well. Winner of the competition, with Amitié 3D balloon was pilot Bourkel Pascal, second place Mazda balloon with Carlo Arendt. 3rd place with Mondorf balloon, pilot Jacques Beaudiere. The 3 first places occupied by Kubicek balloons of total 15. Btw. Mazda balloon was delivered just for the event, and the client was more than happy. Mostly with the balloon itself, the second place in competition was only a bonus. :-)
Sales offensive in Belgium
Kris Houtmeyers announced to focus concentration more to sales last year beside his commercial balloon bussines. Result is excellent, he managed CAMO at his workshop too and now collects fruit of his sales activity. 5(!) balloons delivered on that days, pilots Luc and Jo Madou, Michel Ries and Kris himself. Enjoy slide show of all new Kubicek balloons in Belgium. Another currently under production. He becomes slowly a leader of dealer's league. :-)
Exclusive Cup
Magenta / white balloon EXCLUSIVE BALLOONING flying under registration G-OOEY (the bigger one on the picture :-) is a new balloon for Britain from our balloon factory. It was airborn during the event Exclusive Cup and in fact it is a winning balloon of all the competition in hands of Andrew Holly. Congratulations! Kubicek Balloons were proud partners of the event.

German pilots still like the Kubicek balloons!
For a season 2010 we have delivered two balloons to a very important and prestigious customer - the Twins for RWE company with the new claim "VoRWEg gehen". We are happy to fulfill the customer's expectations and wish many soft landings.
Another chance to check the mood among german pilots we had last week in Eglofs. We came on kind invitation to the Eglofser Feuerzauber, the biggest balloon event in Southern Germany. Beautiful flying close to first ridge of the Alps, interesting visit in the Zeppelin NT factory in Fridrichshafen and successful presentation of our "1st class basket" with doors, chair and many more options. The interest was enormous what makes us happy.
3 XRacers occupied first 3 places in Slovenia!
Four Czech teams took part at the Nationals in Slovenia in April. It was another pleasant event in this country and very successfull for Czech teams. Winner, Pavel Kostrhun, second Mila Skorpik and third Michael Suchy. 3 Czech extreme racers grabed 8 winnings of total of 9 tasks. Pavel's average is excellent 822 points. We hope to be invited next time again. :-)
New special shapes
We manufactured fairly good series of special shapes this winter. You've already seen the Montgolfiere Replica, now we can introduce to the public another two.
The very special one is the head of Burger King. The ballon in size of 3.400 m3 had to be shaped and designed very precisely according to the only one original statue of Burger King, placed in the U.S.A. We used combination of the digital print, Airbrush painting and sewn-on artwork to keep the visage so typical.
The shape is operated in Spain, the first (tethered) flight occured in Malaga Airport, in front of new Terminal 3 during the opening of first Spanish Burger King's Whopper Bar.

Another shape, the first one registrated in the U.S.A. is the flying Stork, based on BB34Z. Balloon ordered by Morgan Braden should promote services of Dr. Komadina, as written on the cap.
Envelopes are growing on and on
Envelope of size 10.000 m3 (350) did not last as a biggest one in our price-list for a long time, just one season in fact. It was still not big enough size for our customers :-). We are proud to announce design, manufacturing and EASA certifying of a BB120P (12.000 m3 / 425.000 cuft). Type P is a new type line designed in cooperation with our professional operators of very big balloons. It has a new curve and 28 gores.
While for Kapadokya the balloons are still under the sewing machines, the first finished piece arrives currently to Portugal. Avidaebela company (see www.avidaebela.com) extends the balloon business activity with this twin to s/n 646 Avidaebela BB30Z. It will be the biggest balloon flying passengers in the Peninsula Iberica (Portugal and Spain). We wish you, Guido, a lot of astonished passengers!

Certification of big baskets
We are preparing for you new passenger baskets, already really big ones, and in last days the main part of certification process was done. We did several tests on prototypes incl. static load test and drop test, under the supervision of the officers from CAA. We (and also you, the pilots) could be happy, that our baskets passed all the hardest tests according to the new directives and we believe they are currently the most strictly certified baskets on the market.
It was not easy to fulfill the requirements even from practical reasons; you need a big crew and enough time to load more than 6 tons of sand into the basket. :-)

Montgolfiere brothers take-off again
Every people have their dreams. Only some of them dream about old good times of ballooning beginnings and like to feel like pioneers of aviation. And only some of them like it so much that they order the copy of Montgolfieres' balloon.
Kubicek Balloons as a well-known manufacturer of special-shaped balloons has done this job with a great respect to the original aircraft and customer's wishes and using all the most modern technology produced the prettiest balloon of the year.
